Weekend Retreats

2023 is going to be a ‘back to basics’ year for retreats. Ashram style retreats which focus on yoga, yogic philosophy and group seva, will ensure we maximise our retreat time to enjoy the simplicity of ashram life (with slightly more comfortable beds!), alongside the simplicity of yogic teaching.

Two full yoga practices (asana, pranayama and deep meditation) daily, plus satsang sessions based on yogic philosophy will be balanced with either a moorland walk or wild swim. Food will be a group effort, taking it in turns to prepare, cook and clean up in line with the yogic ethos of seva (service to others). This ‘back to basics’ approach will keep costs down, so that retreat costs can remain static and ensure they are as accessible to as many people as possible.

Each retreat will have one place discounted by 50% for someone unable to meet the full cost of their retreat place, please message me directly to apply for this place.

It would be lovely to welcome you to Dartmoor for a retreat in 2023, dates are:

There are 2 retreats scheduled for 2023:

28th September – 1st October (3 nights) £260-280/person depending on room choice

£50 deposit payable at time of booking, balance payable 4 weeks prior to the start of the retreat. Room type availability will be confirmed with you at the time of booking.

Note: If you are a group of friends (between 6 and 8 people) and would like your own retreat tailored specifically for you, other weekend dates are possible. Please message me: contact@retreattodartmoor.com

An important part of retreat is the opportunity to be part of a like minded community. An opportunity to inspire each other with our efforts and energy. Sharing space with others is also a perfect way to grow our understanding, awareness, compassion and acceptance. Therefore, all the weekend retreats are based on all participants staying for the duration of the retreat. A room of your choice (subject to availability) will automatically be allocated to you on receipt of your retreat deposit.

Accommodation is in either Sampford Manor (our home), or The Old National School (approximately 75m from the practise barn and the Manor). Both buildings are historical listed buildings, full of character and charm.

Retreat costs (quoted per person) cover all accommodation, food and drink. There are no additional costs, just your personal travel.

In line with yoga’s ethical principles, all meals will be vegetarian, other dietary needs can be catered for.
